I was tagged.

I recently was tagged in a past photo with some darlings girls and I looked terrible. It made me realize that a smile says so much of how we are feeling, treating others and if we are having a good time. etc... I almost always hate to have my picture taken because I think I should be thinner or my hair looked a mess or I have a headace, what ever the excuse is I have used it to get out of having my pic taken. I sometimes say use your skinny lens and then I see myself with a scoll on my face and I feel so bad that I hadn't smiled and let the world know how happy I am and how grateful I am to be with such amazing friends and family. So I am here to tell you I am going to try so much harder to have a smile on my face when the camera comes around. I look so much better with a smile even if the hair is a mess or a the figure isn't the skinniest. So anybody out there that sees a picture of me not smiling delete it throw it away and I will do my best the next time. Got To love those tags it really helped me to change the way I look at myself. THANKS.....

Struttin 4 " D "

Today was the M.S. walk for my sis D-Ann. We joined our team at Lorin farr park and it was a great morning. The weather turned out so wonderful compared to last year, when it rained a lot. The weather must have been warmer before the walk last year, because there was more foilage and greener grass but today it was a warmer day than last year so it turned out to be thumbs up!!! It is always fun to walk and talk to someone, and to be with some of our family was even better. Thanks for the fun walk and thanks for fighting so hard sis, keep up the good work and we will see you all next year...

 

 

 

 

 

EASTER FUN

This year for Easter we decided it was way to cold to go outside for the little Bay so, we had the hunt in the house and then sent the big kids out to play. I don't know if we are all getting old but it didn't seem like Easter this year. I need it to be warmer to be in the mood. Sorry kids your grandma is getting older. We still had fun eating alot and visiting. The best part was watching Bay, he is learning how to walk and we just kept trying to get him to take a few more steps then cheered him for his accomplishments. Bay one thing is for sure you have a good cheering section..

 
 
 
 

The tree is Gone

We moved into our home many years ago. There were no trees or shurbs so we did our best to start the magic in the landscaping. We have enjoyed watching these trees grow and have them give us shade and privacy. I will miss the birds singing in the morning as the sun came up. I will miss watching the leaves turn colors and then seeing them falling on the ground. Seeing the wind blow the branches. Watching the buds come out in the spring and watching the new leaves start to pop open. The tree was getting to big so close to the house so it was for our safety to get it down. Saturday morning Jim had his friend Kenny Allred come over and they started the chain saw to get the job done. Hoping that the cable was going to keep it from coming on the house. I was in the house watching and I saw the tree sway a bit to close to the house and I almost got in a panic. I decided to not go out there but everything came to a sudden stop. the cable had broken and it was very close to be coming on the house. A neighbor had been across the street doing some digging in the ditch and we went and asked him to come and help pull on the tree. He agreed and they had one more cut and down it went. Thud was such a sad sound. All those years and it was over. I was pretty sad until my son Chad same over to help clean up the mess and he said that trees are like our lives we have to have trials to get our roots stronger. This tree had many nights of the wind blowing hard and it's roots were very strong. So it had a good life. Thank you tree for your memories with the Coombs family. And thank you Lord for not letting the tree fall on my home.

 

 

 

 

 

BaseBall is finally HERE - YEA!!!!!

We are at Isaac's first game of the year they have new uniforms and two of his favorite fans are there to cheer him on. He does a great job and gets the job done most of the time. Shaunies Jr Prom

Wow What a delightful night. My granddaughter Shaunie went to her Jr. Prom with a really great guy who had a friend that took them in a buggy or carriage. It was so cool to have them do somthing so different than the original limo thing. I hate that the kids have to spend so much money when if they use there creativity they can come up better ways of having the smae effect. I thought these pictures showed how much fun they were having. Taylor Skinner was her date and in the one pic. I think he wasn't sure how to help this princess with this huge dress. At the promanade all the couples tried to come up with a unigue way of stating there name some did a twirl some did a poise but our special couple came out and Taylor jumps in SHaunies arms. WOW I was so glad she was a strong farm girl. It was really cute and no one else did it so it was an original. You both looked so great and hope you had a really fun night. Thanks for sharing the fun with us all. Love you guys
